It's June 11 and your Peek-a-boo Socks are the pattern of the day. One of my daughters is already searching the stash to start a pair. I have an idea for the edge on this blanket. Kay Gardiner (of masondixon.com) uses and edging on Vyvyan Neel's Argosy Baby Blanket that she calls Cro-Kay. It's a knit egde that minics single crochet, start here http://inahappycamper.eponym.com/blog then go to the Kay's Argosy Baby Blanket. Lastly, I just cast on Black Misti Alpaca Lace for a Faroese shawl I found in Knitters. I'm sure to come back and check your progress (mine will take 12 to 18 months to finish, I don't have much time each day for knitting). Lace Wings looks like a great pattern for the Misty. Happy knitting
I'm a teacher, technical editor, designer and writer, based in Toronto. My first book "Beyond Knit and Purl" has been praised for its fresh approach to teaching knitting. My latest book, "Pattern Writing for Knit Designers" has been called a "game-changer".
I'm Lead Technical Editor for Knitty. I'm known for my "small start" approach to teaching sock and mitten knitting.
I have opinions, mad math skills and an unfeasibly large stash of sock yarn.
