Repurposing non-knitting things to be knitting things

Part 2 in a casual series...

I use a toothbrush holder to carry DPNs, crochet hooks and a set of short straight knitting needles. Notice the very glamorous duct tape I have used to close up the drainage holes.

It protects the needles and hooks, keeps them all together, and stops them from falling to the bottom of my knitting bag.

That is very clever. I think I have spare toothbrush holder in the bathroom, too...

I do this too! Mine is one that opens length wise though so it doesn't need the duct tape as the drainage holes aren't at the end! :)

Oooo! I wonder if those funky reading glasses cases that are skinny would be long enough for my DPNs?

I use the toothbrush holders that open lengthwise to store my dpns. The soap holders are great for carrying stitch markers, tape, etc.
