In Which I Reveal My Proclivities To All The World

To Graft or Not to Graft... my Knitty Winter 08 article.

Have already had one comment from a knitter who enjoys grafting. That makes three of you.

While I don't enjoy grafting, I don't mind it and I like the result better than the pulled together version, which actually was the one that I learned from my mom.

Great article. I'm one of the people who don't mind grafting. I've done it so many times I can do it in my sleep.

But just for you I'm going to try your method on the socks I'm about to close off this weekend.

Here we come, sneaking out of the woodwork. I also like to graft, even if it isn't necessary, the toes of my socks. Yes the ears are annoying and yes it takes a little longer but it's like a magic trick every time.

I too like to graft my toes. (Oooo, sounds kinda dirty, huh?) I like the way they look. My first few pairs of socks I did the pull the yarn through the stitches thing, and when I pick them up and look a them, I actually shudder!

Yep, I'm a grafter for life. But I enjoyed your article anyway!

I like grafting, too! But I finish my socks like I finish hats - decrease in spirals and then cinch. They wear just fine that way!

Hurrah! Someone else who cinches!
