While I don't enjoy grafting, I don't mind it and I like the result better than the pulled together version, which actually was the one that I learned from my mom.
Here we come, sneaking out of the woodwork. I also like to graft, even if it isn't necessary, the toes of my socks. Yes the ears are annoying and yes it takes a little longer but it's like a magic trick every time.
I too like to graft my toes. (Oooo, sounds kinda dirty, huh?) I like the way they look. My first few pairs of socks I did the pull the yarn through the stitches thing, and when I pick them up and look a them, I actually shudder!
Yep, I'm a grafter for life. But I enjoyed your article anyway!

ReplyDeleteGreat article. I'm one of the people who don't mind grafting. I've done it so many times I can do it in my sleep.
ReplyDeleteBut just for you I'm going to try your method on the socks I'm about to close off this weekend.

I like grafting, too! But I finish my socks like I finish hats - decrease in spirals and then cinch. They wear just fine that way!
ReplyDeleteHurrah! Someone else who cinches!
